We bridge the gap between the school bell ringing, afterschool chaos, and parents picking up to dash off to the next appointment. We bring the art studio experience directly to your school so that students can have their time to build their art skills in an unhurried environment.

We tell all of our students to “Trust Their Artistry”. We make mistakes, feel unsure, try something new or unknown, and pivot as we go. Art class isn’t just art: it’s strategy, problem solving, and it builds their confidence. Meet the Team

  • Sarah Allen

    FOUNDER & TEACHER

    Sarah Allen is a mix-media artist, children's book illustrator, and mural painter who founded Art Deco Studios at age 24. With a BFA in Illustration from California State Fullerton, she brings a wealth of creative expertise to her teaching, working with students of all ages—from youth programs to adults with dementia in senior communities throughout San Diego. Her favorite mediums are watercolor, graphite, and clay.

    As founder of Art Deco Studios, Sarah manages all administrative operations and client relationships while fostering a warm, encouraging environment where students learn to trust their artistry. She’s a San Diego native and she is a former classical ballerina of 12 years.

  • Anna Aubele

    TEACHER

    Anna Aubele grew up in Oceanside, California, she has loved creating for as long as she can remember. Along with teaching with Art Deco, Anna isva Kids Ministry Assistant at College Ave Church. She feels incredibly blessed to guide kiddos as they explore, grow, and express their creativity!

    Getting to see people of any age discover their gifts while building confidence and joy through hands-on creativity is something she’s deeply passionate about, and believes that engaging in art is essential to a full and meaningful life!

  • Nikki Falk

    Teacher

    Nikki Falk is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose work spans fine art, digital media, and community engagement. She connects with students across disciplines and has developed after-school and summer art programs.

    Her artistic practice has been featured in galleries throughout Southern California, and her design work has reached global audiences including visual direction team for Isla Vista Worship. Currently working as a florist in San Diego, Nikki continues to weave art into everyday life while inspiring the next generation of young artists.

  • Jacob Allen

    BUSINESS MANAGER

    Jacob has a knack for business and creating systems that operate smoothly. He studied operations research in college and now partners with Art Deco Studios to provide custom art classes to the greater San Diego area. He loves the art of woodcarving.
